Michael Che e Colin Jost, do Saturday Night Live, são os apresentadores. Game of Thrones liderou a disputa com 22 indicações, seguida por Westworld (também da HBO) e pelo Saturday Night Live, com 21 cada. A série inspirada na obra de George R. R. Martin voltou em grande estilo ao levar o prêmio de melhor série dramática.
Porém, quem brilhou foi The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, que venceu a disputa entre as séries de comédia e categorias de melhor atriz em comédia (Rachel Brosnahan), melhor atriz coadjuvante em comédia (Alex Borstein) e melhor roteiro em comédia (Amy Sherman-Palladino).
