Morre Kansai Yamamoto, designer que eternizou o estilo de David Bowie

O designer japonês Kansai Yamamoto, que ficou conhecido por eternizar os mais icônicos looks de David Bowie (1947-2016), morreu na última terça (21), vítima da leucemia. O anúncio foi feito apenas nesta segunda (27).

Famoso por criar os inovadores figurinos de David Bowie, Yamamoto ajudou a eternizar o estilo que marcaria a fase Ziggy Stardust de Bowie em meados dos anos 1970. Ele criou o macacão de visual futurista usado na capa do disco Ziggy Stardust e criou as roupas para a turnê do álbum Aladdin Sane, em 1973.

Nascido em Yokohama, Yamamoto se tornou o primeiro estilista japonês a organizar um desfile de moda em Londres, em 1971. Além de Bowie, ele também criou figurinos para artistas como Elton John e Stevie Wonder.

He was 76 years old.
